About The Course

This course is designed to provide deligates with an understanding of offshore installations, functions and capabilities and the various control systems monitoring and controlling topside and subsea equipment.

Course Participants

No prior subsea control knowledge is assumed. The structure and content of the course is aimed at those who wants to strat a career in subsea control engineering or require a functional understanding of production control system operations.

Course Presentation

The course is presented in an interactive form with scenario-based exercises, it uses variety of media to enhance learning including photos, graphics, animations, video, physical samples and question-and-answer sessions

Learning Outcomes

On completion of the course, participants will be able to

  • Understand subsea production control systems and its principles of operation
  • Identify the various types of control systems, their advantages and disadvantages
  • Understand the operation of the major items of master control station, electrical power unit, hydraulic power unit, topside & subsea umbilical terminations etc.
  • Understand the importance of the hydraulic control fluid
